Cow rescued after it fell into drain in central India

A cow was rescued after it fell into a bus drain near a bus stand, in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

This happened in Shahdol district of the state on October 30.

Visuals showed the cow stuck inside the drain which is located in front of a hotel. The space was too small for the bovine to even move inside the drain.

Rescuers soon arrived in the area and began their attempt at saving the animal. They tied ropes in several areas of the cow’s body, which included its neck and stomach.

With a mighty heave, the men from the Atal Kamadhenu Gausewak Sanstha were able to pull out the bovine from the cramped drain. They held onto the ropes and one even grabbed its tail and eventually, the cow was rescued. It took about one hour to rescue the bovine.

The bovine then threw its legs around after being rescued and later, started to run away from the area.
