Cow rescued after it fell into narrow septic tank in central India

A cow was rescued by members of the Atal Kamdhenu Gau Seva Sansthan after it had fallen into a septic tank in central India’s Madhya Pradesh.

This incident happened in Shahdol district of the state on April 9.

Visuals showed the cow inside of the septic tank. The rescuers tried hard to take it out but initial efforts seemingly failed as the space was too narrow. A sari was subsequently used and it was tied around the cow’s neck. Pulling that, the rescuers also grabbed the cow’s horns and tail and took it out of the narrow septic tank, much to the animal’s relief.

The information of this cow having fallen into the septic tank was received by the organisation at 12:31 pm IST (Indian Standard Time) and prompt and timely action by them resulted in the rescue operation being successfully completed by 1:48 pm.
