Mob attacks policeman over voting dispute in eastern India

In a tragic incident, a mob were seen attacking and thrashing a policeman over a voting dispute in eastern India’s West Bengal.

The incident took place in Nadia district on July 10.

 

 

The visuals of the video showed a huge crowd of locals thrashing a policeman over a dispute at the voting booth. As per reports, the police had allowed a person to give proxy voting which angered the crowd. The crowd then took matters into their own hands and thrashed the policeman by kicking, punching and beating with objects.

There are no further reports on the present condition of the policeman or action taken against the offenders.
