Police officer rescues cow trapped between tree branches in northern India

A cow, whose neck was trapped between the branches of a tree, was rescued by a sub-inspector in northern India’s Uttarakhand.

The incident took place in Shukra village, located in Pabau town in the Pauri Garhwal district, on April 9th.

 

Visuals showed the policeman carefully cutting the branch of the tree where the cow’s neck was trapped. After struggling for some time, the cow was successfully rescued.

Sub inspector Navneet Purohit was assigned to patrol duty when he was informed by local residents that a cow, situated near the road to Shukra village in Pabau, was in distress due to being trapped by its neck between tree branches.

Acting swiftly upon receiving this report, SI Navneet promptly arrived at the scene accompanied by his colleagues. With the assistance of locals, they effectively freed the cow by using an axe to cut the obstructing branch. The community commended the police for their commendable action.
