A snake was rescued from the house of Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut in western India’s Maharashtra.

This happened in Bhandup, Mumbai on July 12.

Visuals showed the snake catcher grabbing hold of the serpent that was underneath a plastic sheet. He picked up the restless snake and held it for some time while another man opened a bag for him to put the reptile inside. After a few seconds of struggle, the snake catcher was able to put the reptile inside the bag and zip it before walking away from the spot.

According to a report, the snake was a non-venomous one. It was discovered when Raut was holding a press conference at his house.
